Blog reflection #1 - Occupational History
Hello! My name is Ainsley and this is my Occupational History. What occupations have I enjoyed all my life? I have enjoyed playing tennis competitively as well as ping pong, and pickleball I have also enjoyed going swimming in the ocean, playing golf, and going on walks Why do I enjoy these occupations? I enjoy these occupations because they bring happiness and meaning to my everyday life. I feel healthy and revived after being active in playing sports, and I feel as if all my problems disappear when I dive into the ocean. What occupations have I not enjoyed? I do not enjoy taking care of myself when I am sick or unwell. I did not enjoy studying in preparation for the GRE. And I did not enjoy going through the stress of interviews for OT school. How have my interests changed as I have grown older and developed? My hobbies, like tennis, have turned more into a leisure activity when I have free time rather than a competitive sport where I used to train every day. A...
